TradeNet team members are resourceful, quality-conscious individuals.  Because TradeNet’s management recognizes this invaluable support, we provide our team members with an innovative wage & compensation program.  Prime wages are complemented by bonus programs & a generous benefits package. *Unless otherwise indicated, information below pertains to full-time, regular employees.

Health Insurance

Eligible employees & their families are offered health insurance through BlueCross BlueShield of Kansas City (BCBSKC). Plans offered are: a qualified high deductible health plan (QHDHP), an HMO, & a PPO. Eligibility: 1st of month following 90 days of service.  QHDHP (Base plan) premiums = Employee - 100% paid by TradeNet, Dependent children - 50% paid by TradeNet, spouse - 100% paid by employee. Employees have the option of buying up to the 2 other plans offered.

Dental Insurance

Delta Dental of Kansas administers the dental plan for eligible employees.  Participants select a dentist or specialist of their choice from the Delta Premier directory. Eligibility: 1st of month following 90 days of service.  Premiums:  Employee & dependent children – 100% employer paid; spouse – 100% employee paid.

Vision Insurance

TradeNet offers eligible employees & their families vision coverage through the Vision Service Plan (VSP).   The VSP offers allowances &  deep discounts on exams, frames, lenses, contacts, & much more. Employee premiums = 100% paid by TradeNet, spouse &/or children premiums – 100% paid by employee.

Life Insurance

TradeNet provides eligible employees & their families with term life insurance through USAble. Eligibility: 1st of month following 90 days of service.  Two plans are available: Basic & Optional.

Basic – Employee benefit is $15,000 (Life & AD&D).  Dependent benefit is $2,000 each.  Premiums: 100% employer paid.

Optional – Eligible employees may purchase additional term life insurance for themselves & their family members. Premiums are determined by age & amount of insurance purchased.  Employees pay the premiums through payroll deductions.

Health Savings Account

Eligible employees have the option of opening a Health Savings Account (HSA). An HSA combines a lower premium, Qualified High Deductible Health Plan (QHDHP) with an employee-directed, tax-advantaged savings account. An HSA works much like an IRA.  The money is yours & rolls over year to year, accumulating as you age, & from one qualified HDHP to another.  Depending on the HSA vendor, you may be able to direct how those funds are invested, & a 2-4% annual investment return is often guaranteed. Eligibility: 1st of month following 90 days of service & enrollment in a QHDHP plan.

Section 125 Plan

                Flexible Spending Accounts

Eligible employees may contribute a designated amount of money from each paycheck to be placed in reimbursement accounts, pre-tax.  Two accounts are offered; one may be used to pay for dependent care expenses & the other is for qualified health care expenses such as deductibles, co-pays, & prescription drugs.   Eligibility: 1st of the month following 90 days of service.

Premiums Taken Pre-Tax

Employees, who pay premiums for any of the above plans, may take advantage of the premium portion of our Section 125 plan. This tax-saving’s plan allows employees to have those premiums deducted from their pay before taxes are withheld, instead of after.  The end result is more take-home pay & less of a tax bite.  Eligibility: 1st of month following 90 days of service.

Note:  Basic & Optional Life Coverage maximum of $50,000 for pre-tax deductions

Disability Insurance

Eligible employees are automatically covered for both short & long term disability benefits through USAble. Eligibility: 1st of month following 90 days of service. Premiums: 100% employer paid.

Training & Tuition Assistance

TradeNet provides in-house training & cross-training programs & sends employees to workshops & seminars on work issues. Eligibility:  1st of month following 90 days of service.

As an employee in the promotional products industry, TradeNet employees & their dependents may qualify for college scholarships up to $2500 annually from the Promotional Products Association International (PPAI).

401(k) Plan

The 401(k) plan, administered by American United Life, allows employees to plan for retirement on a tax-free basis.  Eligible employees may contribute up to the IRS-allowed maximum to the plan.  The plan gives participants various investment options from these fund groups: AUL, Fidelity, & American Century.  Eligibility: 1st of month following 90 days of service & 21 years of age.
